Philosophy
We believe in people.
With nearly a decade of experience from the HR tech industry, and many years of people management experience, we're surprised that a prevailing belief is still that all individuals must be managed and that the focus of much feedback is to put people into boxes. Albeit a bit dated, see for instance this article on The Guardian.
Our belief in people means that we design solutions to help people grow, with the assumption that most people actually prefer to grow rather than not. We believe that as a vendor, mentor or manager, the best thing one can do is to help people overcome the barriers hindering them from growing. We try to do so by lowering the barrier for giving, requesting and making use of feedback.
Our philosophy differentiates us from many other vendors. We acknowledge that it also means we won't be a good fit for some companies. But we believe that we're not alone in our strong belief in people. And we think that believing in people and treating them as adults, regardless if they are individual contributors or managers, is a way to make your organization, and our world, better.
